Emi Jay Website Mockup
About
Emi Jay is a quite modern and quirky company, selling hair clips and accessories with a colorful, modern personality. They have been making an impact and adding a characteristic touch to large trends recently, especially with the growing (and reoccurring) popularity of using claw hair clips. After researching the company and their social platforms, I created a website mockup and email newsletter for them.
Newsletter:
My goal was to create a simple, yet visually interesting piece that would let the colorful content and product shine. Using the program MailChimp, I was able to easily maneuver and adjust various spots for text and images within a wireframe. Once I had created and was pleased with my wireframe, I inserted my text and images. While I have used various software and Adobe programs to create content in the past, I am always eager to try new tools and up my skillset.
Website Composition:
I used the program Figma to execute my design. Having experience with Figma in the past, I chose it for its familiarity and versatility. Once I had a low fidelity wireframe, I began adding in the visual specifics. The extent of my mockup consists of a home page, which holds key details about the company, feature collections, and the newest available photography which showcases their product. Branching from this, I created four more basic website frames for each key menu. This is mainly to get an idea of a larger build-out for future purposes. In each of my frames, I made sure to prioritize balance, by centering content or offsetting it with another, equal piece. By enclosing various elements and highlighting what I saw to be the most attractive visuals and text, I feel I was able to get an outstanding end result that is both unique and clean.
